blessing of obeying god

Obeying God is the single most important thing for the child of God. Everything revolves around obedience, and God accepts nothing less than our obedience to him.

What is obedience to God?

It’s compliance with God’s request, or law or submission to another’s authority.

Obeying God is the best way to live a victorious life. However, obeying God isn’t the easiest thing to do, but with the right mindset, faith, and the willingness to take action – is achievable.

10 Reasons Why Obedience to God Is Important

Without further ado: here are 10 great reasons why obedience to God is important.

Obedience causes heaven to listen, and God to answer our prayers.

Have you ever wonder why some people’s prayers get answered quickly and your go unnoticed? Well, this most likely has to do with your obedience to God. God honors those who obey him, but those who disobey Him cannot demand His favors. Furthermore, it is proven time and time again that heaven stands at attention to the prayers of those who obey God.

When Joshua was in trouble, he played to God and was delivered. The same happened to David, Hezekiah, Jehoshaphat, Josiah, Daniel, and many other great men of God. And what did they all have in common? Obedience to God. Obedience to God will cause heaven to hear and God to answer our prayers all the time.

Now it’s your turn to obey God, and I hope that you see that the only way you are going to get your prayers answered quickly is by letting go of disobedience and embracing obedience. And I encourage you to start today, don’t wait, today is the best time to obey God, your success in life depends on it.

Obedience is God’s chosen way of life for His children.

We cannot escape the fact that God requires nothing less but our obedience. And what makes us different from others is our obedience to God. And God is unlike other gods because He is holy (set apart).

And we as God’s children ought to be like Him (holy), therefore, for this reason, God requires our obedience. And our obedient is not for God, but us. Hence the reason God expects us to obey Him. For without it, we will never please God.

Obedience invites God’s presence in our lives.

One of the most tested and quickest ways to get God’s attention so that He can manifest Himself in our lives is by our obedience.

Don’t get me wrong, at times we may need to wait on God, but most times, when we have a pressing or urgent need, and we need God’s manifestation. He will manifest Himself, but under one condition – obedience.

Those who take it upon themselves to obey God will never miss God, and no blessing of God will pass them evade them.

god blesses obedience

Obedience has blessings attached.

Words aren’t enough to express how true this statement is. Matter of fact, Christianity is built upon this statement. Jesus Christ preached upon this statement. Societies are kept in check by this statement. The human race believes in this statement, and God continually reminds us of this statement. And now it’s left to you to do something about this statement.

God cannot lie. He honors His words, and if He says that He will bless those who obey, then surely He will. So if you are looking for success, a long life, good health, peace, wisdom, and everything good that God has to offer – obey.

Obedience invokes God’s favors even when we don’t ask.

Wouldn’t it be a great day when everything we desire is given to us even before we pray or ask in prayer? Sure yes. And this is possible, but it will happen only under one condition – our obedience to God.

Listen to what this bible verse says, then I hope you will see the power of your obedience to God. ” I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!” Isaiah 65:24

Obedience to God has a proven track record.

If you are in any doubt whether obedience to God will bring about the positive results you are looking for, then this bible verse will encourage you.

The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, “I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring, all nations on earth will be blessed,[c] because you have obeyed me.” Genesis 22:15-18

Obedience had always paid out handsomely those who obey. Abraham obeyed, and God blessed beyond measures. David was obedient, and he never lost a battle. And the same is true about Daniel, Samuel, Joshua, and countless others, they obeyed God, and God rewarded their obedience.

And it isn’t strange to see that those who understand the real value of obedience, and apply it, have reaped the benefits. Obedience to God is a blueprint for success, and this is an undeniable fact.

Obedience to God isn’t a new phenomenon.

It’s quite surprising to know that a lot of people are now finding out the marvelous power of obedience go God. It is as though they have now discovered something new, but this thing called obedience isn’t new, it has been around ages, since the days of Adam and Eve.

And judging from what I know, obedience to God will remain through many generations to come, until the world is no more.

And with that, it is a wise thing to obey God if you haven’t started as yet.

Obedience to authority is obedience to God.

Contrary to some beliefs, obedience to authority is obedience to God. For example, Jesus told his disciples to obey the Pharisees but don’t do what they do. In other words, follow what they say, but keep away from what they do.

The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.  So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.”Matthew 23:2-3

When you obey your pastor, you obey God. When you are obedient to your parents, you obey God, when you are obedient to whatever lawful authority, you obey God. But ensure that whatever authority you are obedient to – correspond with God’s law.

Obedience is for everyone.

The rich and the poor, the strong and the weak. The prince in the King’s palace and the beggar on the road are to all to obey God. Obedience to God is for everyone, and no one is excluded.

But of course, you can choose to disobey, but disobedience has stiff consequences.

Obedience has horrible consequences.

In all my years of reading the bible (thirteen and still going strong). I have never read of anyone escaping the consequences of their disobedience to God. Mosses, Saul, Solomon, and many others all paid the price for being disobedient to God. Mosses died without entering the promised land, Saul had the striped from him, and Solomon caused Israel to split.

And I am sure you will agree, ” disobedience is the root cause of cures and destruction, but obedience to God brings blessings and rewards,” You can also read “8 Reasons Why Obedience to God Is Important.”
